Understanding the Verification Dashboard

Important Notice: This article explains the Verification Dashboard interface. The dashboard displays verification data in real-time but does not guarantee fund release outcomes. To learn more about how funds are released, see How Fund Release Works After Your Campaign Succeeds. The platform reserves the right to modify the verification process for future campaigns.

What this article explains

This article explains how to use the Verification Dashboard to monitor backer verification progress after you submit delivery proof. It covers the dashboard layout, status indicators, and actions you can take during the verification period.

When this applies

This applies to you if:

How it works

Access the Verification Dashboard

After you submit delivery proof:

Understand the Verification Progress section

The dashboard displays your current verification progress:

Element Description
Verification Rate Percentage of sampled backers who confirmed delivery (e.g., "87%")
Confirmed Count Number of backers who responded "Yes" out of total sampled (e.g., "13 of 15 backers")
Pending Responses Number of sampled backers who have not yet responded
Progress Bar Visual indicator showing current rate relative to the 80% threshold

Understand the Traffic Light Status

The dashboard uses a traffic light system to indicate your verification status:

Status Verification Rate Meaning
🟢 Passing ≥80% confirmed On track for 60% fund release
🟡 At Risk 70-79% confirmed Consider sending reminders to pending backers
🔴 Needs Attention <70% confirmed Manual review may be required

Note: The status indicator includes both color and text labels for accessibility. The traffic light status is advisory and informational only. It does not guarantee or prevent fund release.

View the Fund Release Timeline

The dashboard shows your fund release schedule:

Field Description
Release Date The estimated date when 60% funds may be released (after verification period ends). Actual timing may vary.
Estimated Amount The calculated 60% amount based on your campaign total
Timeline Visual Progress indicator showing 30% (released), 60% (after verification), 10% (after dispute window)

Note: All dates and amounts shown are estimates. Actual fund release timing depends on verification results, platform review completion, and payment processor requirements.

Review the Sampled Backers List

The dashboard displays a list of sampled backers with partial information:

Column Description
Backer Name Partial name of the sampled backer (abbreviated for privacy)
Tier Pledge tier (Low, Medium, High)
Status Response status: ✓ Yes, ✗ No, ⏳ Pending
Verified At Timestamp when the backer responded (if applicable)

Note: You can sort this list by status (e.g., "Pending first") to identify backers who have not yet responded. Backer personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations.

Send manual reminders (optional)

If you have pending responses, you can send reminder emails:

  1. Click the "Send Reminder to Pending Backers" button.
  2. A confirmation dialog appears.
  3. Click "Send" to send reminder emails to all pending backers.
  4. The dashboard shows "Last reminder sent: [timestamp]" after sending.

Note: Use reminders strategically. The platform automatically sends reminders on Day 3, Day 6, and Day 7 of the verification period. Additional manual reminders are optional and should be used judiciously.

Monitor updates

The dashboard updates periodically:

Understand what happens after the verification period

After the 20-day verification period ends, the verification decision is made:

Scenario Result
≥80% of sampled backers confirmed 60% funds are scheduled for release. Timing may vary based on payment processor requirements and platform review.
<80% of sampled backers confirmed Manual review is triggered. The platform may contact you to provide additional information or to address issues. Review typically takes 7-9 days, but timing may vary.

Note: Fund release is not automatic. All releases are subject to platform review and payment processor availability.

Important rules to know ⚠️

Rule Detail
Dashboard is read-only for responses You can view backer verification responses but cannot modify them.
Verification period is 20 days Backers have 20 days to respond after verification emails are sent.
Decision after verification period The verification rate is calculated when the verification period ends. This determines whether 60% release proceeds or manual review is triggered.
80% threshold ≥80% of sampled backers must confirm delivery for the 60% release to proceed without manual review.
Sample size The platform samples a stratified random selection of your backers, typically between 10-20% of total backers. Sample size and composition are determined by the platform.
Manual reminders You can send manual reminders, but use them strategically. The platform does not guarantee that reminders will result in additional responses.
Real-time updates The dashboard polls periodically (approximately every 30 seconds). You do not need to refresh the page manually.
Traffic light is advisory The traffic light status is informational only. A "Needs Attention" status does not automatically mean fund release failure; it indicates that manual review may be required.
Backer response confidentiality Individual backer responses (Yes/No) are visible to you on the dashboard. However, the content of any detailed feedback or dispute information is handled separately and may not be shown on this dashboard.
Manual review process If <80% confirm, the platform reviews your delivery submission. You may be contacted to provide additional information. Review timing varies and is subject to platform resources and case complexity.
No guaranteed outcomes The dashboard displays data to help you monitor progress. It does not guarantee fund release timing or outcomes. All releases are subject to platform terms and conditions.
Data retention Verification data is retained in accordance with our data retention policy and applicable data protection regulations.
